The event can best be described as “A Day with MJ”!
We plan on including a fascinating writing workshop with Martyn aimed at everyone, not just songwriters, a music quiz where you`ll be able to pitch yourself against Martyn, a session by Advantage Africa and other sessions during the afternoon….some serious and some definitely not so serious!
A delicious hot and cold buffet meal with wine or soft drinks will be included, with quality local produce and Fair Trade foods and some extra tasty desserts, and other refreshments will also be provided on arrival and in the afternoon break. There will also be a bar available.
The day will be rounded off with a special intimate concert where you can have some input into the set list, making it potentially very different from any usual shows (that one`s up to you folks!)

Steve, Phil and I have talked for years about touring together and we always thought that was going to be a shared evening concert. However, a few months ago, faced with some changes and unsure of what to do, I had the idea of simply opening the shows for the guys and they were kindly up for it! I didn't want to tour in my own rite this autumn, as I have followed that pattern for a long time and felt like a rest and a change. Touring with the guys will keep me playing but without the pressure of full tour duties, and, after the rather brutal schedule of recent years, that is something I could do with right now. I'm actually really looking forward to the whole experience and aim to keep the guys on their toes!
