Between Nov 03 and July 05 Martyn Joseph played over 250 concerts. In
the midst of this
never to be repeated schedule he played two sold out shows at The
Stables Theatre, Milton
Keynes. Those two nights are captured here on Martyn’s first ever
live ‘in concert’ DVD.
With Martyn’s legendary solo performance to the fore, augmented
by appearances from Nigel Hopkins (keyboards) and Mike Haughton (sax),
it is a stunning record of what Martyn has done best over the last 24
years; played live with a degree of passion and commitment
that has put him in what Wales’s Western Mail described as
‘a class of his own.’
With a total of 26 songs across a two DVD set which includes an
extended interview with Martyn and a behind the scenes documentary,
this is the perfect insight into an artist that Q magazine described as
‘one of the most forward looking of his generation of singer/
songwriters with a depth, resonance and emotional punch, which belies
comparison.’
